St. Mark’s Chili Supper & Bazaar
Chili Supper and Bazaar is one of the primary fundraisers of the ECW (Episcopal Church Women) of St. Mark’s Beaumont. For over 70 years the members of St. Mark’s Church have cooked and served Chili to the Beaumont Community. The funds raised from Chili Supper and the Treasure House enable the ECW to help local community service organizations such as CASA, Some Other Place and St. Mark’s Emergency Assistance Fund. The ECW also provides Scholarships to All Saints Episcopal School and Camp Allen.
The ECW (Episcopal Church Women) of St. Mark’s is the fellowship of ALL women of the Church with the purpose of empowering each other to live the life for which Christ called us. We join together sharing His love through outreach, fellowship and spiritual growth. Through the years, men have also become involved with the ECW and they continue to serve with us on various committees.
Every year, thanks to funds raised from our famous Chili Supper and Bazaarand the Treasure House resale shop, the ECW was able to give grants to over twenty community organizations. We provide college and camp scholarships to our parishioners and contribute to the All Saints Scholarship Fund. The ECW also funds the St. Mark’s Emergency Assistance Fund for our parishioners. Whether it is planning a reception for a funeral or making soup for the home bound, ECW is there for our members and our community.
