2026 Commission meeting at Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown If you are interested in helping the museum plan for the 125th Anniversary of Spindletop (which is also the 50th anniversary) of the museum, this is the meeting for you. Tri-Agency Citizen’s Police Academy at Beaumont Police The Citizen’s Police Academy is a FREE 15 week training program for adults 18 and up, designed to educate and expose community members to the operations of Law Enforcement. The program is held two times each year and participants must apply and be registered to participate. Gusher Re-enactment at Spindletop-Gladys Boomtown The Lucas Gusher gave up its riches for nine days before Anthony Lucas and the Hamill brothers could get the well under control. We re-create the gusher using water and only run it for about 2 minutes. But it is always fun to watch how high the water will blow and what direction the spray will take. Parent’s Night Out at BCM MONTHLY – Every 3rd Friday of the Month Parent’s did you know that each month the Beaumont Children’s Museum keeps its doors open late for kids to have some fun while the you have your night out. Drop your kids off at the Children’s Museum between 6-7PM for them to enjoy a night of crafts, science, games, pizza and movie, and most importantly free play. Pick up is between 9PM – 10PM. Children must be 3 years of age and potty-trained to stay for this night out. 1st child is $25 for the night and 2nd child or more includes a $5 discount. All members with your membership card will receive an additional $5 discount per child. Halloween Party at The Arc of Greater BMT Join The Arc and Women to Women from Lamar University for a fun night of food and dancing!! The Arc Multi-Purpose Building Friday, October 19th 7:00pm – 9:00pm Costumes and fun are encouraged!! For individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities ages 16 and up. Water and popcorn and a light snack will be free. Must have reliable transportation to and from the dance. Although The Arc’s staff and volunteers will be at the dance we do not have the manpower to offer anyone one-on-one assistance. If you need this type of help please make sure you invite a friend or family member to join you.

The B-Sides at MacKenzie’s Pub 8pm-11pm Hosted by The B Sides Tonight Live Music with The B-Sides; The B Sides are a group of friends with an intense love for music. What started as informal get-togethers to play mostly songs from our youth evolved into a band that plays a variety of songs from the 60s and 70s, but not limited to that era. The band name came from the period of vinyl recordings when a record had an A-side and a B-side. The band members have all played music since high school and collectively have 200+ years of musical experience.
